Christine Weidlich born in Salzburg, Austria, lives since 1972 in the district of Munich.

 Creative work in advertising, travel around the world and taking photograghs. Study of painting began in 1985. Courses with Prof. Oskar Koller, Rudolf Hradil, Prof. Arik Brauer, Joze Ciuha, and 10 years´ attendance at International Summer Academy Salzburg with classes by Jacobo Borges, Zhou Brothers and Prof. Eva Wagner. She took part in many artistic projects. Since 2009 organisation and leadership of ZAK 2020, different groups of female artists from the district of Munich under the auspices of the councillor.  2000 award from Kulturfonds Salzburg.

 Christine’s work has evolved away from the realism of her photography and landscape painting. She has internalised those images of people and landscapes, and now brings them alive in a colourful, sensitive, abstract manner. Paul Klee’s ‘Creative Credo’, “Art does not render the visible, rather it makes visible”, sums up her approach to her work.
